Talking about the marriage, Gali broke the shell that he hasn't spent 500 crores for the marriage as spread by the media folks. 


"No, there is no truth in 500 crores being spent on the marriage. I've spent only 30 crores. I've given details of the expenditure to Income Tax folks after they called me for questioning the day after marriage. From the taxi driver who chauffeured us to the guy who supplied flowers, from shamiana to other settings, from jewelry to costumes, I've all the bills, all proofs of money spent, all the phone numbers of people involved, and paid everything in clean transaction", said Gali Janardhan Reddy. 

He also implied that people took the marriage in a negative way as he happens to be in public life. "There are many biggies and many have spent huge than what I've. But my daughter's marriage became food for media as I'm well known" he avers.

Being carefree is most beautiful about childhood: Dia Mirza

Mumbai: Actress Dia Mirza hopes children are able to retain the “carefree” aspect of their childhood intact.

Dia is happy to see events like the forthcoming Mumbai Juniorthon and an initiative called Scrappy News Station which helps children spread awareness about issues affecting lives everywhere.

“The most beautiful thing about childhood is that you are carefree. They are free of fear and free of troubles. Unfortunately, kids today are fighting to be carefree and nothing breaks my heart more,” the actress-producer said in a statement.

Impressed by the Scrappy News Team, she added: “As an environmentalist and conservationist, I am really proud that the Scrappy News is educating grown-ups about social issues. Their station is made from waste itself… They are basically focusing on the health of their childhood and the true idea of progress by addressing the things that matter the most to children.”

The Scrappy news is mainly focusing on raising their voice for first and foremost open spaces for children to play and second, making open spaces conducive to the girl child to play and an unpolluted environment to support free playing.


While discussing youngsters' wellbeing needs, Dia said she is glad to catch wind of the Juniorthon activity however would be more joyful on the off chance that it occurred in a cleaner domain. 

"I would need Junirothon to occur on the day when the air quality is great and I feel that is an imperative thing that we don't concentrate on enough." 

The Juniorthon is a youngsters' marathon for junior competitors in Mumbai. It is a yearly occasion to spur them to partake in physical exercises prompting a more beneficial way of life.
